Brussels WEAR Sustain Open Call Launch 17 May 2017

On 17 May 2017 join us for the Brussels launch of WEAR Sustain, a new €3m pan-European project that aims to shift the development of the wearables and e-textile landscape towards a more sustainable and ethical approach.

We invite you to a support event on the future of ethical and sustainable wearables and e-textiles with workshops, open coaching square, matchmaking & networking opportunities, and opportunities to directly interact with members of the EU WEAR consortium.

Morning session 10.00 – 12.00

In the morning session participants will listen to various interesting speakers about the WEARproject. You will discover more information about the ecosystem and the do’s and dont’s when applying for the Open Call. There is also an opportunity to get one on one feedback on your proposal by coaches and experts in the Open Coaching Square.

Heritiana Ranaivoson, Project Coordinator and Sr. Researcher at imec, and Ingrid Willems, CEO of DataScouts (powered by We Connect Data), will explain the Open Call and will advise participants on how to prepare for the application. This way teams will be able to better match their propositions with the goals of the project.

Lunch meeting – 12:00 – 14:00

During lunch, there will be an open conversation and discussion on various topics connected to the issue that surround ethical and durable wearables and e-textiles.

The discussion will be moderated by Martine-Nicole Rojina.

It’s also possible to connect with new people during the speed date and network session.

Afternoon – 14:00 – 17.00

After all this, you can listen to two keynote speakers, follow a breakout session, write/improve your proposal or follow one of the several workshops.
