On the 17th March WEAR Sustain took part in a key panel discussion ‘Innovation at the nexus of STARTS’ at Milano Digital Week, an industry event that hosted 400+ events over 4 days.
Innovation at the nexus of STARTS (Science, Technology and the ARTS), organised by WEAR Sustain Consortium partner Giannino Malossi, took prominence at the event. Giannino was joined by our other STARTS sister projects Vertigo and STARTS Prize, and the European Commission CNECT, as well as several key influencers in the arts and technology scene; Milan Triennal, Milan Digital Week, Vivienne Westwood ltd, and Waag Society. The talk took place at the Trienalle, to help the audience learn how to overcome the boundries between science, technology and the arts.
This talk was followed by a STARTS Academy IoT workshop for girls and boys aged 7-13, to address topical and highly important themes such as online identity, open connectivity, privacy, cloud and peer-to-peer communication.
